Overview
The Subnational Resilience (SURE) dataset provides every month specific measurements of political resilience and stability for 3,800 first-level administrative units worldwide on a scale of 10 (no detectable source of political instability, high levels of resilience) to 0 (extremely high level of instability due to war and armed conflict). It is calculated by the nature and intensity of all ongoing political conflicts affecting the respective region in the previous five years as well as widely recognized indicators for socioeconomic development.
Data can be ranked from low (0) to high mid-term stability (10), within respective countries, or alphabetically, and can be provided both as a numeric dataset or visualized in maps and graphs. The SURE data informs clients timely about structural socioeconomic vulnerabilities and the impact of armed conflict as well as social tensions on a region’s resilience, stability, and well-being. It has been especially created for supplier evaluation and risk management tools as well as continuous supply chain monitoring. It is compatible with other datasets used in this context, such as financial risks as well as understanding trends and transformations in the recent past.
